The 2003
SOLAS convention places much
stress on safety on sea ships and tourist ferries, which
sometimes transport up to one thousand or more people

must be ensured. The latest SOLAS Convention emphasises
the importance of the LLL escape system because of thick
smoke and high temperatures in higher parts of corridors
and tries to ensure a better visibility of the escape
direction sign. According to this convention, photoluminescent
materials used for escape signs must be thoroughly tested
for surface combustibility, toxicity and smoke generation
and, therefore, must have an international EC Certificate
of Acceptance
granted by relevant accreditation units. Our company
